Aura RC430 is a recessed troffer in 600×600, 300×1200 and 600×1200 mm that reaches UGR19 through a direct/indirect optical system instead of a heavy glare-control plate. The same luminaire ships as fixed output, DALI dimmable, Interact wireless or sensor-ready, with optional tunable white 3000–6500 K and the BioUp circadian spectrum. UGR19 Without a Glare Plate
Indirect light leaves through a high-reflectance optical coating that lowers surface luminance; the direct component passes a micro-prismatic diffuser that cuts large-angle stray light. UGR19 is reached from a 92 mm housing with no deep louvre.

122 lm/W at 600×600, 134 lm/W at 300×1200 and 128 lm/W at 600×1200 with the PSU driver at 4000 K / CRI80 — comfortably above China’s grade-1 energy efficiency level.

Tunable White 3000–6500 K
A patented LED and dot-lens module (2024ID81202) mixes warm and cool channels for continuous CCT tuning. Order 8TW for CRI80 or 9TW for CRI90; both run from DALI or Interact.

BioUp: +42% M-DER
A cyan-enhanced spectrum lifts the melanopic daylight efficacy ratio to 0.84 (CED, 4000 K) and 1.16 at 6500 K, against 0.55 for standard CRI80. It is the cheapest route to WELL v2 L03 circadian credits.

Cyanosis observation index of 2.63 at CRI90 / 4000 K sits below the 3.3 limit of AS/NZS 1680.2.5:2018, so the blue shift of deoxygenated blood stays visible during examination.

6500 K downward for focus work, 4000 K upward for projection, 3000 K upward for breaks. Vertical illuminance stays high enough for video walls without extra wall washers.

Closing the downlight channel leaves a soft indirect wash above the bed; COI 2.63 keeps cyanosis visible when the examination channel is on.

What is the difference between the RC430V and RC430X codes?
RC430V codes carry wired drivers, either PSU fixed output or PSD DALI. RC430X codes are Interact-ready: WIA wireless, or SC2 / SC15 sensor-ready versions that pair with the SC200 or SC1500 sensor. Optics, housing, dimensions and light output are identical, so the two families can be mixed on one floor plate.
How does RC430 reach UGR19 without a glare-control plate?
The luminaire splits its output. Indirect light is reflected off a high-reflectance optical coating that lowers surface luminance, while a micro-prismatic diffuser controls the large-angle stray light of the direct component. The result is a unified glare rating of 19 from a 92 mm housing with no deep louvre, which is also why the fitting weighs less than a conventional low-glare troffer.
What does U/D mean in the order code?
U/D marks the dual-output versions: the upward (indirect) and downward (direct) channels are controlled independently between 1% and 100%. On RC430 the 18 U/D codes balance the two channels from a single driver, so one luminaire can run a bright uplight with a dimmed downlight or the other way round.
Which accessories are needed for independent up/down control?
Dual-output installations use the TWH driver 444170132261 (PLS 60W 0.7-1.5A TWH S 230V I) so that each channel can be addressed on its own. In a DALI system a DALI controller drives the two channels; for Interact, a DALI extender 9137 010 66203 bridges up to 20 luminaires per group, with SC100 as sensor 1 and SC200 or SC1500 as sensor 2, both configured to the same group.
Is RC430 suitable for hospitals, clinics and consulting rooms?
Yes. The cyanosis observation index is 2.63 at CRI90 / 4000 K, below the 3.3 limit of AS/NZS 1680.2.5:2018, so cyanotic skin colour stays visible during examination. Photobiological risk is RG0, flicker is PstLM ≤0.5 and SVM ≤0.4, and the downlight channel can be switched off at night so only a soft indirect wash remains.
