Installation & Wiring
The PHILIPS MASTER UltraEfficient T5 LED tube is designed for direct mains connection. Typical application examples are shown below; bypass the existing HF electronic ballast during installation.
Wiring Configuration for MAS LEDtube 1200mm UE 18.9W 865 T5 EELB
- Circuit type: Direct mains — the LEDtube connects directly to L / N after the HF ballast is removed. Both single-ended and double-ended wiring configurations are supported.
- Input: 220 – 240 V AC, 50 / 60 Hz, 86 mA.
- Ballast: The existing HF electronic ballast must be bypassed (marked "X" in the diagram) — never run the LEDtube with the ballast still in circuit.
- MCB loading: Up to 89 tubes on a B-type 10 A breaker; up to 142 tubes on a B-type 16 A breaker.
- Safety note: Follow the 7-step procedure in the wiring diagram. Always isolate the mains supply before opening the luminaire; installation must be carried out by a qualified electrician.
